Welcome to the Kenya Fisheries Information Management System (FIMS)

The Kenya Fisheries Information Management System (FIMS), developed under the KEMFSED project, is designed to enhance the management of Kenya’s fisheries resources. Built on the robust FAO Calipseo platform, FIMS facilitates efficient data collection, monitoring and reporting of fisheries activities. This system supports the Kenya Fisheries Service (KeFS) in making informed decisions for sustainable fisheries management. Through FIMS, users can access comprehensive data on catch assessments, licensing, and fisheries compliance, ensuring improved governance and fostering sustainable livelihoods in coastal communities.
